Fragility, conflict and violence (FCV) together constitute one of the most pressing challenges to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. The International Development Association (IDA) is working to prevent and address risks before they become crises.
By 2030, FCV countries will be home to 46% of the world’s extreme poor. Conflicts also drive 80% of all humanitarian needs and reduce gross domestic product (GDP) growth by two percentage points per year, on average.
