Welcome to "Moh Moh Vlog" ! Today, I'll guide you through preparing a mouthwatering pork and pickled mustard recipe that's both easy to make and packed with flavor. This traditional dish combines tender pork with tangy pickled mustard, creating a savory delight that's perfect for any mealtime.
Ingredients:
350g pork (shoulder or belly), thinly sliced
100g pickled mustard greens (sour mustard), chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoon cooking oil
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon coconut sugar
1/2 cup water
Salt and Chinese Five Spices Powder to taste and smell
Instructions:
Marinate the Pork:
In a bowl, combine soy sauce, Chinese five-spice powder, salt and seasoning powder and the sliced pork. Mix well. Toss to coat evenly. Marinate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.
Cook the Pork:
Add cooking oil and coconut sugar to the pan and stir-fry until lightly browned. When coconut sugar is turned into brown add the sliced pork to the pan and stir-fry until lightly browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
Add Pickled Mustard Greens:
Add chopped pickled mustard greens to the pan. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes to combine flavors.
Seasoning:
Stir in soy sauce, seasoning powder, and a pinch of salt and fish sauce to taste.
Simmer:
Pour water into the pan and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until flavors meld together and sauce slightly thickens. And chop 4 or 5 red chillies if you want to eat a little spicy.
Serve:
Remove from heat and serve hot. Garnish with chopped green onions if desired.
