The purpose of a dummy load is to give the amplifier on test somewhere to dump the current at high powers, rather than through the test equipment. With this new arrangement, the scope can now be directly connected to the dummy load via a BNC cable, and also features a handy x1/x10 multiplier selection switch.
This video is, in part, thanks to xraytonyb. I used his voltage divider setup from his dummy load to give mine a 10:1 (times 10) reduction before going in to the scope.
