A Russian court has fined a journalist 30,000 roubles (£200) after she interrupted a state TV live news bulletin to protest the invasion of Ukraine.
Marina Ovsyannikova held up a handmade banner behind Channel One presenter, which read: “Stop the war. Don’t believe the propaganda. Here they are lying to you.”
“What is happening in Ukraine is a crime. And Russia is the aggressor here,” she said on a video she shared on social media.
