In this quick update I pick our first harvest of cime di rapa, also known as rapini, broccoli raab or broccoli rabe, and sprouting turnip tops. Cima di rapa produces small broccoli like flower heads, but the entire plant is good to harvest. These came from an early sowing of a fast maturing variety that only produces small heads. Slower growing sorts can produce larger heads, but are perhaps better sown later in the year to grow and crop when conditions are cooler.
