Ladakh is connected to the main land through two roads namely Leh-Srinagar national highway and Leh-Manali road. These two roads remains open only during summer months and during the winteclosurer it remains closed for more than 7 months due to of the passes.The Leh–Manali Highway is a 428 km (266 mi) long highway in northernmost India connecting Leh, the capital of the union territory of Ladakh, to Manali in the state of Himachal Pradesh.

Situated in the Spiti and Lahaul district of Himachal Pradesh, Keylong is a perfect place to take a detour from the Leh-Manali highway and experience the raw, rustic beauty of nature.
