According to the register of centuries-old trees in Bulgaria, there are 1381 centuries-old trees declared for protection in our country. All of them are extremely important for the environment. Apart from their impressive appearance, ancient trees are a place where many animals live or feed. Over the years, they have become small ecosystems themselves, which is why their preservation is of great importance to preserve the environment in good condition.
