I spent the day exploring Kraków's mysterious prehistoric man-made mound 'Krakus Mound' in the Podgórze district. Named after the legend himself, King Krakus, this mound is the oldest man-made structure in Kraków and is similar to other ancient structures like Stonehenge in the way that it may have been built as an astronomical tool.

It's still quite mysterious what the original purpose behind it was, however, some think it was religious and/or ceremonial.

What I can tell you is that it sports an incredible view or Kraków's Old Town and is definitely worth visiting to get out of the typical touristy areas of the city.
