Tips
1. Learn Anatomy: Anatomy is the foundation for everything! Learn it well and you'll be much more prepared for your AT education.
2. Time Management Skills: As an AT student you will be really busy, so make sure you figure out how to manage your time wisely.
3. Get along with preceptors: Getting along with your preceptors is key to a good clinical experience.
4. Get to know the staff: You will be working with other staff that are non-AT! Get to know them and network with them. You never know when they can help you!
5. Don't be shy & have confidence: Never be shy or awkward in the training room, try to maximize your patient interaction as much as possible.
6. Ask questions: The more you ask, the more you learn!
7. Never waste your time: Always learn or study, always be on the move! Never do nothing.
8. Food situation: Figure out when and where you will be eating or getting food.
9. Extra clothes: ALWAYS HAVE EXTRA CLOTHES!
10. Find something outside AT: Find stuff to do outside your AT life! It's always nice to relax and refresh your mind.
