Today we have a huge drive ahead of us as we make our way to Ranfurly in Central Otago. But before that, there’s one last thing to do in Omarama in the Waitaki Valley before we leave. Check out the Clay Cliffs!
The Clay Cliffs are some bizarre pinnacle rock formations found about 20 minutes from Omarama. A short walk takes you right into the Clay Cliffs in New Zealand.
After the Clay Cliffs, we start our long drive first through Lindis Pass. Lindis Pass is often said to be the most scenic road in New Zealand. A Lindis Pass road trip is a must.
Once through Lindis Pass on the South Island, we travel through the Central Otago region to the small town of Ranfurly.
