All This and Rabbit Stew is a Looney Tunes short which follows Bugs Bunny outsmarting what is basically an early prototype hunter which ideas of various characters, including this one, would eventually become Elmer Fudd. This is also the final short directed by Tex Avery.
A part of the Censored Eleven of the Looney Tunes shorts released, the hunter character in this short was effectively a parody of Stepin Fetchit and the acting he usually did, which, in more recent years, has generated negative attitudes because of the stereotypes Fetchit usually portrayed. This short has been withheld from syndication and television airing for many years because of its portrayal of the character.
I guess where I stand on this lies into how I watched this short as a child. I hadn't a damn clue as to what the hunter was parodying when I was, say, 5 years old. I just found it funny that Bugs was outsmarting him in stupid ways. Nowadays, I do understand why it is censored from syndication, and between me and everyone here, the craps scene is kinda dumb but still gets me to chuckle. Personally, it doesn't offend me. Warner Bros. was just experimenting around, trying to figure out who they could make as a recurring hunter who'd dimwittedly attempt to hunt Bugs. Whatever, I digress. I have literally no control as to how this is aired.
This short is in the public domain! It means I don't have to say "I do not own any content in this video."
