Western Cape farmers fear the winter rainfall season may not yield sufficient rain to help them recover from the drought. And assistance from the provincial Department of Agriculture is under pressure. The department says it has a funding shortfall of 27 million rand. It briefed the Standing Committee of Economic Opportunities, Tourism and Agriculture.
