The marvel of British Engineering Khushal Garh bridge was constructed around 1903. It is a double-decker bridge that supports vehicles below and a train track on the top. This is the boundary line between Punjab and KP. The river Indus flow beneath this mighty structure.
You can also see the new bridge constructed and opened in 2016, the old bridge is abandoned now but the Railway still uses it.
The new bridge is no match to the old historical bridge constructed over a hundred years ago.
I was always excited whenever we traveled from Karak to Islamabad. I would wait for this bridge like a crazy kid 🥺.
