In Turkey, votes are still being counted for elections that have been described as one of the most consequential in the country's history. So far, results show that the incumbent, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has a comfortable lead on his opponent Kemal Kilicdaroglu but neither side has managed to secure 50% of the vote to avoid a runoff.
