Personalise your Clothes with Modern Hand embroidery: [ Ссылка ]

Put your best work on display on your back! That is exactly what I (Elin) did on Charles jeans jacket with one of his best work. He has been wanting to use this embroidery piece for something spectacular, and what better than to sew it onto your favourite jacket?

One of the magical things with hand embroidery is its wide applicability. Just as much as you can have your best work on display on the wall at your home, you can also attach it onto your clothes. By embroidering a patch onto for example your jacket, your jacket becomes an artpiece in itself! PLUS everyone you pass will get to enjoy it without having to visit your house.

Due to the large size of this embroidery I used Vliesofix to first iron it onto the jeans. This is to create stability and fixation so that I could be sure the patch would stay in the place I wanted throughout the stitching process.

In case your jacket has an inner lining just like this one does, be sure to open the lining at the bottom first. You don't want the stitches to show through on the inside, but rather be hidden behind the inner lining.

You could technically have left the patch with just the Vliesofix, but to also add stitches around the edges secures the patch even more. You can be calm knowing that you can easily wash it in the washing machine and wear it out without the risk of it falling off. Plus, for this particular piece it added the feeling that the patch is actually embroidered straight onto the jacket from the beginning as opposed to on a separate fabric.
