Larry Diamond is a Professor of Political Science at Stanford University and is a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution and at the Freeman Spogli Insitute for International Studies at Stanford. He is the founding coeditor of the Journal of Democracy and the author of numerous books and articles on democracy throughout the world. He will discuss his book Ill Winds: Saving Democracy from Russian Rage, Chinese Ambition, and American Complacency at the Book of the Semester lecture.
