Azerbaijan and Armenian forces have accused each other of carrying out fresh attacks in the disputed region of Nagorno-Karabakh, as diplomatic efforts intensified to find a solution to the conflict. Russia, which helped establish a ceasefire on Saturday, appealed for both sides to abide by it. Although internationally recognised as Azerbaijani territory, ethnic Armenian forces control the region. The BBC’s Steve Rosenberg managed to gain access to Nagorno-Karabakh after several days of heavy fighting to speak to local people living under constant shelling. Here’s his report
