UN Women says it would take a century to bridge the worldwide gender gap and is advocating increased and sustainable investments to tackle the inequality gap. 

Mehjabeen Alarakhia, UN Women regional advisor on Women’s Economic Empowerment for East and southern Africa, spoke to VOA's Ignatius Annor to mark Women's History Month in the U.S. which also coincides with International Women's Day.
