This is a young lady with calcaneo-cuboid pain who has come in for a CSI. The MRI shows some bone oedema - in this case the injection is as much for diagnostic confirmation as it is for therapeutic treatment. A tricky injection one this one. But that's the real world. She was pain free from the LA by the time she walked out 15 mins later (btw - I keep all by patient on site for 15 mins to make sure they don't have a delayed reaction from the injectate, such as a faint or anaphylaxis).
