7 April 2023. I came across this jig a few years back in a tune book under the title "THE Cape Breton Jig". At the time I remember thinking that the title was a pretty misleading one. Like the Irish music tradition, the CB tradition has more than one jig in the repertoire! :-) Therefore I've listed the tune as "a" Cape Breton jig. Oh - and by the way - it's a grand tune, and very Cape Breton in character!
