Dutch reggae-sensation Roots Rising releases new single!

After their debut E.P. “Free”, which saw them to famous Dutch festivals like Zwarte Cross 2017 and European tour engagements, it’s time for the next release. “Crisis” is the second single of live E.P. “The Root Sessions,” all tracks recorded live with film and real time dub effects.

The new record is full of sunshine and happiness, with energetic grooves and tight brass parts. Lyrically however, the band always delivers a heartfelt message. In five songs Roots Rising talks about their roots, our zeitgeist and the positive change the band strives for in the world. This second single refers to the financial crisis - “We don’t see no crisis, because the vibe keeps on rising!”

Roots Rising is the highly regarded live Reggae/Hip Hop sensation from the Eastern Netherlands. Since 2014 they have been touring the Netherlands and Europe with their unique mix of Reggae/Ska, Hip Hop and Latin music. This year two more international tours are scheduled ending their summer with two gigs at Boomtown (U.K.).

Reggaesensatie Roots Rising releast nieuwe single i.s.m. Reggaeville!

Na het succes van debut E.P. “Free”, die de band optredens op o.a. de Zwarte Cross, Bevrijdingsfestival Overijssel en 2 europese tours opleverde, is het tijd voor de volgende. “Crisis” is de tweede single van live E.P. “The Root Sessions,” volledig opgenomen met visuals en live dubs.

De nieuwe plaat is een vrolijke en zomerse cocktail vol energieke raps en puntige blazers. In vijf nummers vertelt Roots Rising over hun “roots”, de tijd waarin we leven en de positieve verandering waarna de band streeft. Deze tweede single verwijst naar de financiële crisis- “We don’t see no crisis, because the vibe keeps on rising!”

Roots Rising is de Reggae/Hip Hop sensatie uit het oosten van het land. Sinds 2014 tourt de band door Nederland en Europa met hun unieke mix van Reggae, Ska, Hip Hop en Latin invloeden. Voor dit jaar staan er nog twee internationale tours gepland met als hoogtepunt twee optredens op Boomtown (U.K.).
