Have you ever tried making your own 🤩 traditional seasoning at home?
I enlisted the help of my dad 👨 to summon his childhood 👶 memories (and Google, mostly) to whip up 🧑🍳 one of the most basic, but also most widely-used seasonings in Bali - bumbu genep. Otherwise known as bumbu gede, this seasoning is often used in many dishes in Bali including 🐔 betutu, 🥬 urap, 🐟 sate lilit, and even 🐖 babi guling!
Do give it a try at home, and don't be afraid to use a blender / food processor!
