This perfect cover of the Kinks’ autumnal classic (from the North London legends’ superb “Something Else LP”) was released by Birmingham outfit The Ugly’s in 1966. The Brumbeat combo included members who would go on to play with Nick Drake, Fairport Convention, Nick Drake, Jethro Tull, The Move, Electric Light Orchestra and more.
