Based on the experiences of creator Hugh Wilson, WKRP (1978) is about a struggling radio station that changes its format to rock-n-roll. It ran for four seasons on CBS, and then came in syndication (1991) as 'The New WKRP in Cincinnati' with three of the original cast as the stars.
