T47 comes in two main varieties: internal and external. All the new Treks, for instance, are the internal type, which means the entire BB resides within the bike frame with just the flanges showing from the outside, kinda like a threaded version of BB386Evo, if that helps.
The external type is based on the good old 68mm wide BB shell, and once installed looks like a giant Shimano Hollowtech2 BB, with what looks like cups sticking out about 10mm on each side of the frame BB shell.
There’s one called BBcorrect, which is a variant of the internal type that’s only found in the Factor OSTRO VAM----and we have it!----but let’s just skip that for now.
This being the bike business there are sure to be many variations from here as T47 slowly becomes the dominant BB standard throughout the industry, but for now these are the main types.
