The book includes Tisdale's first-hand account of the Battle of Manila Bay from his position in the flagship Olympia's forward gun turret.

Admiral Dewey, who commanded the American squadron aboard Olympia, later wrote that Tisdale's description of the battle was, "one of the best I have ever seen published."

The visual images shown in this video include several contemporary illustrations of the Battle of Manila Bay.

The music is a track from the South Korean historical drama, Immortal Yi Soon Shin, which is well worth watching.
