The Ukrainian National Anthem on Violin Performed by Gabriel Gordon at the Utah Jazz Game.

This is my rendition of the State Anthem of Ukraine, as performed at the Vivint Arena on March 9, 2022, just prior to the NBA game between the Utah Jazz and Portland Trailblazers which was televised on ESPN.

I was honored and privileged to perform this piece for many reasons. First of all, my personal mission has always been to utilize music to promote peace throughout the world. In addition, my great grandparents met in Odessa and my grandmother was born in Lviv. Finally, this historic performance was the first time the NBA had authorized the playing of a national anthem other than those of the United States and Canada, and its approval was given solely to express solidarity with another country - another league first.
