In this creative DIY video, I transform everyday items into a stunning vintage and shabby chic decor set. Starting with a plastic packaging, I drape it with cloth soaked in a mixture of white glue and water, sculpting folds for an interesting texture. Once dry, I use cereal box cardboard strips, secured with silicone glue, to neatly finish the interior edges. A cardboard base is added with mounting glue for stability.

The entire piece is then painted white using chalk paint for that classic vintage look. I prepare the lid by cutting the bottom off another plastic container and attaching it to a pre-cut cardboard piece with mounting glue. A plastic cap, also fixed with mounting glue, serves as a chic handle. Inside the lid, small cardboard pieces are arranged in a mosaic pattern for added charm.

For an artistic touch, I employ the dry brush technique with blue acrylic paint followed by gold accents on both the box and lid. A piece of fabric, dyed blue and dried, wraps around the box, topped with a handcrafted butterfly made from layered die-cut cardboard, molded for dimension, then painted blue with gold highlights.

Next, I craft a large vase by drawing and carefully cutting circles from cardboard, quartering them, and adhering them to a glass bottle with white glue. Painted white and detailed with blue and gold dry brushing, it's wrapped in the same blue-dyed fabric and adorned with another beautifully crafted butterfly.

A unique candle holder is created using liquid yogurt bottles, a roll-on deodorant ball, and various caps assembled with mounting glue. Kitchen paper and white glue reinforce the structure before it's decorated with lace, flowers, butterflies cut with a die-cut machine, then painted white with blue and gold acrylic highlights.

A smaller vase receives the same treatment of die-cut lace around a glass bottle, painted white with chalk paint and accented with blue and gold dry brushing. The blue-dyed fabric wraps around it, finished with yet another die-cut butterfly.

This romantic DIY project repurposes discarded items into a beautiful vintage and shabby chic set that's sure to add charm to any space.
