Speaking before the Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic announced a unilateral ceasefire for the Orthodox Easter, the deputy Secretary General of NATO, Sergio Balanzino, said a ceasefire would not be enough.
Speaking in Macedonia, he said what was needed was for Milosevic's forces to be withdrawn from Kosovo to allow a peaceful solution to the crisis.

I don't think that even a ceasefire - even if a ceasefire were offered, that would be enough. What NATO what the international community demands from Milosevic is the withdrawal of forces away from Kosovo as a beginning, as a beginning of the process that would lead to, in the end, a peaceful solution of the Kosovo crisis.
