The US release of a very engaging 45, originally released on Pye in the UK. It later appeared as a track on the second “Ripples” compilation CD, “Dreamtime”. (“Ripples” being a series of sunshine pop singles expertly culled from the vaults of Pye Records)
There is a dated feel to the lyrics which is appealing. You know for sure that this was set in a time before shopping was done at the mall or online. “Let’s start saving up” is a pretty quaint expression these days.
John Summers issued three 45s on Pye, which was not enough to generate any notoriety for him.
