Why did European Countries Colonize the World?
There are many reasons that led European countries to colonize the world, some of this include:
- very hard winters, especially for scandinavian countries. In this case it pushed European countries to always organize like a long term investment;
- The fall of costantinople pushed Europeans to find ways to reach India because the Turks didn't allow Europeans to cross the Middle East to buy spices in India;
- The relative lack of resources in Europe pushed European countries to look for resources outside;
- The Christian religion always sent missionaries to European and non European countries to convert the people but at the same time colonize their land;
- Being close to the sea guaranteed European countries to ship goods for cheap prices and boost the economies;
- Due to too many historical battles, Europe has always had to organize and be competitive;
- Thanks to socialism and capitalism and the ideas of individual freedom, European countries always had the opportunity to go beyond, especially in science and technology;
