Months before the release of GPT 4o Model, OpenAI tested unreleased models in LMSYS, with funny names - ‘i-m-a-good-gpt2-chatbot’ and ‘i-m-also-a-good-gpt2-chatbot’.

And now, three mysterious AI models have just popped up in the LMSYS Chatbot Arena again. The first model ‘upcoming-gpt-mini’ identifies itself as ChatGPT and mentions its creator as OpenAI. The other two models, column-u and column-r refuse to reveal any identity details.

So with these new models coming on LMSYS, is OpenAI preparing to release a new - potentially small on-device model?
