Did you know the most expensive car in the world? The 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupe sold at the RM Southerby auction in 2022 for an incredible $143,000,000! That's double the next in the list a Ferrari 250 GTO for $74,000,000! It also puts it in the top 10 items ever sold at the auction. It's hard to even calculate the figures and even more so that all the money went to a charity program offered by Mercedes-Benz. The car is just one of two prototypes ever built, so it's no shock that it would go for an increased amount of collector money, but I would guess that few realized it would reach those unprecedented heights. How long will the record stand? We shall have to wait and see!
