The Danube Gorge is a spectacular view that was created by the Danube as it cut through the Carpathian mountains on its way to the Black Sea.
Situated between Serbia and Romania here the Danube is the border , the water rushing through the narrow corridor is creating such a spectacular view.
There are several ways you can enjoy it:
- near Dubova there is a hiking trail and you can climb the mountain side- the view from above is just great.
- from the road between Eselnita and Dubova - several great spots to take some very nice pics.
both these options from above are free of charge.
- from a boat on the river - if you you take a boat trip than you can experience the beauty of the Gorges from the river, equally spectacular.
