Qualcomm’s CMO Don McGuire and fellow marketing executives discussed this topic and many others at the Fast Company Innovation Festival. Their conversation helped draw meaningful connections between the emotional intelligence of AI and what it means for the future of technology.
Don highlighted Qualcomm’s commitment to showing the human side of AI through the Edge of Possible campaign, starring Academy Award-winning actress Michelle Yeoh. As Don put it, “It’s really about not being afraid of these tools. Because, at the end of the day, you’re still in control.”
The panel acknowledged that many consumers have a healthy skepticism of AI and discussed how marketers can better communicate the purpose and potential of the technology to drive better understanding.
“You have to break it down,” Don notes. “What is the technology? How can it be used? Those are the kind of things we think about as we build this clear path for AI going forward.”
