Electro-mechanical servo braking is ideal for those times when you need to hold the shaft of the motor still - maybe you have a fan that you don't want to rotate . This kind of braking is NOT used to stop a motor, only to hold the shaft still AFTER the motor has spun down. In this video we'll do a live hands-on demo showing you how to use the servo motors built-in electro-mechanical brake and even take a peek inside the motor to learn how it actually works.
