More than 1,500 cases of the Omicron variant of coronavirus have been detected in India, as of Sunday. The fast-spreading variant has reached 23 states of the country, the government said on Saturday. Meanwhile, a total of 27,553 new Covid-19 cases and 284 deaths were reported in India on Sunday.
