Rishi Sunak is considering an early UK general election, says Andrew Marr.

The Conservatives are well behind Labour in the polls, but senior Tories believe a spring election may be their best hope. Andrew Marr explains how the small boats migrant crisis, Conservative Party inner politics, and concerns over mortgage rates may be influencing the prime minister.

“Politics is an emotional art, not a cold science: an election this spring has never seemed likelier,” says Marr.
