This is what happens to most engines that set around with old gasoline left in the float bowl for a few years. I have poured some gasoline into the carburetor, but old gasoline tar has gummed up the fuel jet, and the engine quits running. Remove the carb and clean the parts, all passages. Electricity cycles, I set it with the vibrating indicator to 60 for my electric chain saw requires 60 cycles to run properly.
