Sickness Benefits Qualifying conditions:
A member is qualified to avail of this benefit if:
-He is unable to work due to sickness or injury and confined either in a hospital or at home for at least four (4) days;
-He has paid at least three (3) months of contributions within the 12-month period immediately before the semester of sickness or injury;
-He has used up all current company sick leaves with pay; and
-He has notified the employer or the SSS, if unemployed, voluntary or self-employed member regarding his sickness or injury.

SUBMISSION OF EMPLOYEES' SICKNESS NOTIFICATION
(For Employers)
1️⃣ Go to the SSS website (www.sss.gov.ph)
2️⃣ Log-in as an Employer (input User ID and Password) and click SUBMIT.
3️⃣ Click the E-SERVICES tab.
4️⃣ Click SUBMIT SICKNESS NOTIFICATION.
5️⃣ Supply the required and applicable information of employee-member: SS Number, Member Name, Start of Sick Leave, Claim Type (SSS or EC), Confinement Location (Home or Hospital), No. of Days Applied, and PRC/ID No. (of attending physician).
6️⃣ Click the corresponding button to either ADD another employee, CLEAR or SUBMIT SICKNESS NOTIFICATION LIST.
7️⃣ A transaction number will be issued as proof of the transaction and notification submitted online and download and print the transmittal list of the Sickness Notification.
