The Folklore goes that Sudama offered his last few grains of beaten rice or poha or Avalakki to his friend Lord Krishna. Poha is a very auspicious offering to Krishna especially on Janmashtami. Here is my take on making a simple and quick, yet tasty Laddu from Poha and Peanuts.

Ingredients:

Thick/Medium Poha - 2 Cups
Unsalted Peanuts - 1 Cup -- You can substitute with a cup of Grated Coconut
Powdered Sugar - 1/2 Cup -- You can substitute with 3/4 cup of Grated Jaggery
Cardamom - pinch
Ghee - 1/4 Cup
Saffron - Pinch
Yellow food color (Optional)
