CAPER comes from a plant called Finders Rose. ( Capparis Spinosa) are typical food of Sicilian Cuisine. It is excellent for flavoring any kind of dish whether it is a first course of pasta or a dish based fish or meat or can even be stirred into salad dressings. Capers grow in viney brambles. They are usually found growing wild in dry and stony areas. Capers are actually flower buds. You need to pick them early in the morning when the buds are still close and tight. In Sicily, harvesting season is from May to July.
