In this video - cycling training zones explained - I outline the seven cycling power zones to my wife so we can implement an effective training program. Following an FTP Test we did on Zwift, Alice now has her training zones. Prior she was just using heart rate. Preparing for the Noosa Triathlon in November, I educate Alice on:
Zone One / Active Recovery
Zone two / Endurance
Zone three / Tempo
Zone Four / Threshold
Zone five / VO2 Max
Zone Six / Anaerobic Capacity
Zone Seven / Neuromuscular
I also explain high level to Alice how we will implement these zones into her cycling training regime.
