Public art has the power to help people see the familiar in a new light, create social cohesion and build a local identity. Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s The London Mastaba and our partner Serpentine Galleries’ coinciding “Christo and Jeanne-Claude: Barrels and The Mastaba 1958–2018” exhibition will serve as prime examples of how public art has the power to enrich the vibrancy of a city’s culture and economy.
