Some of you might remember that 2 years ago I made the first minute of this video. Well, I had a day off recently, so I finished the rest!
It was an extremely emotional journey to finish this video. Animating Freddie in his final moments artistically, and all. Happy birthday, Freddie!
Every time I make a music video, I think back to when Freddie Mercury basically said "music videos should sometimes just be meaningless visuals, because people already have a video in their heads when they listen to the song. So you might ruin their idea if you put in something specific and defining in the official video". I took that thought to heart when I made this. While it might have been easier to portray a man's relationship with a woman, or Freddie on his death bed, I instead went for something a bit more playful. Something that just fits the sounds of the song.
