Charles Edward Hayes (1914-1993) was an amateur film making enthusiast who made home movies from the late 1940's.
'Travel' (Reel 7, Circa 1970s) shows holiday adventures around Australia beginning with scenes of the huge suspension bridge and dramatic water cascading at the Hume Weir, going onto “Timbertown” and the tourist train “The Green Hornet” travelling through bushland, wonderful shots of working bullocks and a glimpse of whipcracking, the Big Banana at Coffs Harbour, a Sikh Temple in NSW and some bushwalking.
