In a landmark event for Indian Railways, a high-speed trial of a MEMU (Mainline Electric Multiple Unit) train was conducted under the supervision of Commissioner of Railway Safety, D C Deswal. The trial spanned from Sangaldan to Reasi, covering a distance of 46 kilometers in just 33 minutes.
The MEMU train, which departed Sangaldan precisely at 11:12 AM, achieved speeds exceeding 100 kilometers per hour during its swift journey. It reached its destination in Reasi at 11:45 AM, marking a significant milestone in railway operations and efficiency testing.
The successful trial underscores Indian Railways' commitment to enhancing speed and connectivity across the network, aiming to provide faster and more efficient transportation solutions for passengers.
