In Ukraine, Sviatyi Vechir (Ukrainian: Святий Вечір, Holy Evening) is traditionally celebrated with a meatless twelve-dish Christmas Eve supper.

1. Kutiya with poppy seeds and nuts
2. Uzvar
3. Fish with mushrooms in village oven
4. Golubci with buckwheat
5. Borscht with special dumplings ("vushka's")
6. Dumplings with fermented cabbage
7. Sweet Dumplings with poppy seeds and cherries
8. Fermented vegetables (cucumbers, tomatoes, cabbage)
