SICPA Brazil recently became part of a selective group of Brazil factories/offices who have been awarded Sustainability LEED Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council. The Security Ink and Systems Factory of SICPA was published as one of the most impressive architectural structures in Brazil in the “Arch Daily,” one of the world's leading architecture websites.
This speaks to the fact that SICPA’s new building in Santa Cruz, Brazil, which is set as a large industrial complex, is built according to the latest energy and environmental standards. This includes innovation in design and operations, atmosphere, energy and water efficiency, material and resource use.
LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design and is an international certification system and environmental guide used for buildings in 143 countries.
This state-of-the-art building includes offices, laboratories, a library, restaurant, cafeteria, staff club and tropical gardens.
With 26,000 m2, the industry aims to produce security inks for printing paper money and various products that require top-level security and quality control.
The buildings are distributed uniformly on the ground through a metal frame, from which balconies, canopies and bridges appear. Light color finishes, translucent screens and other features give the building a bright and comfortable feel with an eye towards environmentally-friendly design.
