"Close to You" is a song recorded by Karen and Richard Carpenters from the duo "Carpenters" for their second studio album "Close to You" in 1970. The song was written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David.

Close to You reached a top spot both in the US Billboard Hot 100 and Adult Contemporary charts. It was a certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in 1970.

The Carpenters received a Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Performance by a Duo, Group or Chorus in 1971.
